ACOUSTIC BLANKETS
ADDRESSING RADIANT NOISE ON FAN & BLOWER HOUSINGS
Shannon GES has developed noise reduction solutions to address radiant sound energy on fan and blower housings. Design considerations for temperature and environmental conditions, as well as noise reduction targets (4-15 dBa). Shannon GES Acoustic Blankets Solutions are ASTM tested, field validated and OEM endorsed. A self-contained insulation system, designed to fit complex surface geometry, integral fasteners make installation quick and easy.

What’s sustainability got to do with insulation for the plastics industry?
Safety and energy-saving are probably words that come to mind when thinking about insulation and the plastics industry, but add sustainability to that list, too. Typically, the focus of an insulation project for a plastics-making plant is worker safety. For example,...
Why paper mills should invest in (not spend on) insulation
Paper mills generate steam to power the facility, but when generating steam, heat (energy) is lost whenever sections of the steam distribution system lose their insulation. Generally, insulation gets removed in and around areas that tend to spring leaks the most:...
The benefits of hydrophobic blanket insulation
One of the many benefits of hydrophobic blanket insulation is protecting a steel substrate from corrosion. When water absorbent insulation gets wet, it can’t conserve thermal energy and holds water against the equipment it is supposed to be insulating, which increases...
